Culture ministers of Islamic countries to meet in Muscat
TEHRAN- Culture ministers of the Islamic countries will meet at the 9th conference of the Islamic Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (ISESCO), which will be held in Muscat in November.Minister of Culture and Islamic Guidance Ali Jannati expressed hope that the Iranian delegation would seize the opportunity to present Persian culture, history and civilization to the other Muslim nations.
“Jonsouda” to compete at Fajr Intl. Film Festival
TEHRAN – Iranian filmmaker Faramarz Vakili’s “Jonsouda”, a joint production of Iran and Thailand, will go on screen at the 33rd Fajr International Film Festival, which will be held from April 25 to May 2 in Tehran.
The movie, set on one of the islands of Thailand Sea, tells the story of a young Thai woman, Jonsouda, who lives with her little daughter. Jonsouda is in search of her missing husband who has gone on a trip a few months before.
Seyhun Gallery’s online auction offers works by prominent artists
TEHRAN -- Over 80 artworks by prominent artists are on sale at Tehran’s Seyhun Gallery’s online auction.
Ahmad Esfandiari, Sadeq Tirafkan, Manuchehr Niazi, Arman Estepanian, Golnaz Qadiri and Farideh Lashaii are among artists whose works are on sale until April 26.
The artworks have been chosen by a board of selection for the auction.
